Wow, LJ really has become a shell of it's former self. A veritable Road Warrior'esque barren desert of blogs searching for petrol and eating dinty dog food out of cans. Alas facebook has become the sexy new girlfriend. So for old time's sake here's just a couple of images from the past month or so.
If you haven't added me on FB send me a request.

All you Kats and Kittens in the Queensland AU area make sure to check out the Garterbelts and Gasoline Show. You'll find cool rods and kustoms, drag cars, vintage bikes and low riders, lots of purtty pin up girls, burlesque dancers, pin stripers, kustom kulture artists and last but certainly not least some fine rockabilly bands. Really wish I could go, but it's a helluva drive.

Glenn @ Hybrid Design did a brilliant job with the posters

Arno Schaetzle was kind enough to feature my work on the Airbrush Blog. There's some really great people on there.
I also forgot to post the new stuff I did for Lenora Claire's LA Dr Sketchy's
Hope everyone is doing well and not too hung over. I had a wild night and went to bed at 8:30 last night. I'm a maniac. Gonna go look into getting some artwork prepared for an upcoming show.

| Norman Rockwell Zombies |
[Nov. 26th, 2008|10:05 am] |
|
Blair Sayer did a zombie riff on Norman Rockwell's Gossip painting. I think it's pure utter genius. It even has a happy ending (get your mind out of the gutter). Wish I coulda grabbed a shirt when it was offered on Woot.

Went out to Bestbuy to pick up the new GnR. There's a Filipino grocery that just opened across the street so I decided to explore. I was happy to see that they had Balut (fetal duck egg) off course I had to get one.
Not so bad...in fact I was a little disappointed that the duck wasn't more formed. I'll probably go back for some more. Kris ended up getting a stomach ache just by watching me eat it.

| Stressed and Miserable |
[Nov. 19th, 2008|10:02 am] |
|
So much stuff I need to get done before the end of the year. A bunch of it is actually positive but the overwhelming stress of everything is really pissing on my parade. I at least got these off of the to-do list.

Now, I'm just gonna throw on these cds and try to get some animation done.

Keep me away from any firearms, sharp objects or clocktowers grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

| Pizza, whiskey, saltwater taffy and NIN |
[Nov. 7th, 2008|04:51 pm] |
|
Past couple days were a whirlwind. Wednesday we went up to Connecticut to meet with some clients/friends. Then that night we went down to Brooklyn for dinner at Sea with some more friends. Fully exhausted we went home, crashed, got up and drove down to Atlantic City. Played some quarter slots and then got depressed watching all the blue hairs gamble away their savings. Decided to go back to the hotel room, order some pizza and whiskey from roomservice and properly prepared ourselves for Nine Inch Nails at the House of Blues.
The concert was stripped down compared to the rest of the shows on the Lights in the Sky tour and was totally KICKASS. Peter Murphy even showed up for Reptile. We saw him this morning at the Starbucks downstairs but I didn't want to bug him for an autograph. I'm regretting it now, especially since I still had the tickets in my wallet. Here is some of the concert we shot with our lil' canon powershot...
